🙏 Collective Worship: A Rhythm of Reflection
At Lowerhouses CE Primary, Collective Worship is the heartbeat of our week. It’s a time to pause, reflect, and grow together—spiritually, emotionally, and as a community.
Every child is invited to take part in a way that’s meaningful to them. Whether through song, story, silence, or celebration, worship helps us explore life’s big questions and live out our school values.
🕊️ Our Weekly Worship Pattern
Each day brings a different focus, helping children connect faith to real life:
-
Monday – Singing Together
We start the week with joyful praise. Children learn songs that lift the spirit and explore themes like hope, kindness, and courage. -
Tuesday – Bible Journeys
We explore stories from the Bible, linking them to lines from The Lord’s Prayer and our Christian values. -
Wednesday – The World Around Us
We reflect on current events, global stories, and how we can make a difference—locally and globally. -
Thursday – Learning from Jesus
We look at the life and teachings of Jesus and how they guide our choices, friendships, and actions. -
Friday – Celebration Assembly
We end the week by celebrating achievements, kindness, and effort. Families are warmly invited to join us.
✝️ Living Our Values
Each half term, we focus on a line from The Lord’s Prayer and explore a related Christian value. These include:
- Love
- Justice
- Service and Charity
- Perseverance and Faith
- Forgiveness and Mercy
- Truth and Wisdom
- Peace
These values shape our worship, our relationships, and our school culture.
🌱 Growing Spiritually
Worship helps children:
- Reflect on their own beliefs and experiences
- Develop empathy, gratitude, and hope
- Build a sense of belonging and purpose
- Ask thoughtful questions and explore meaning
We create a calm, respectful space where children can listen, wonder, and respond.
👨👩👧👦 A Shared Experience
Collective Worship is for everyone—children, staff, and families. It’s a moment in the day when we come together, not just as a school, but as a community of care and reflection.
🤝 LAMAT Partnership Day 2024
We were delighted to welcome pupils and staff from across the Learning Accord Multi-Academy Trust to Lowerhouses CE Primary for a special day of joint Collective Worship.
Together, we explored the MAT’s Vision and Values, reflecting on what they mean and how we can live them out in our schools and communities. Children took part in activities that celebrated:
- Partnership – working together across schools
- Promoting – sharing ideas, talents, and voices
- Excellence – striving to be our best, every day
Our beautiful school grounds provided the perfect setting for reflection, creativity, and connection. It was a joy to see children from different schools come together in faith, friendship, and shared purpose.
