✍️ English

We’re reading Zog and How to Trap a Dragon. Children will retell stories using text maps, story strings, and drama. We’ll also write instructions on β€œHow to catch a dragon” and a chronological report on the Great Fire of London.

πŸ”’ Mathematics

We’re working on:

  • Counting in 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s
  • Estimating and grouping objects
  • Reading and comparing two-digit numbers
  • Understanding place value and representing numbers to 100

🧠 Topic

We’re exploring the Great Fire of Londonβ€”why it spread, how it was fought, and how the city was rebuilt. We’ll use maps to compare London in 1666 and today, and visit the National Emergency Services Museum in Sheffield to bring history to life.

We’re learning about everyday materialsβ€”how they’re used, and which are best for different purposes. Children will compare materials through hands-on experiments.
